The Biennale di Chianciano was born in 2009 with the vision of creating a center of contemporary art outside the established schemes. The will of the Chianciano Art Museum is to give a platform to living artists of great talent without constraints or discriminatory factors. Artists selected for the Chianciano Biennale are judged exclusively on the basis of their work, their talent and their creativity.

 Along with our sister exhibition, the London Art Biennale, The Chianciano Biennale offers the opportunity to find new audiences, galleries, collectors and broaden horizons for artists.

Over the years and in past editions, thousands of works of art have been exhibited during the Biennials. Art lovers, critics and the general public had the opportunity to admire true talent without filters.

The team of the Chianciano Biennale is the same team of the London Art Biennale which takes place in the historic Chelsea Town Hall. Over the years, the various Biennials have been inaugurated by renowned personalities such as Nicholas Bonham, heir to the famous world auction house “Bonhams” founded in 1732 and Lady Frederick Windsor, exponent of the English Royal House known for its help and support to people needy and needy, and the mayors of Kensington and Chelsea.
